I’ve recently done a poll on my Instagram stories on how likely it was that I’ll pack only 5 skincare products to a work trip. I wish I screenshot the results because most people barely believed in me (like 2%). A big number of people voted for “Hell No,” but you guys were wrong! My pouch wasn’t simple for a work trip, but these actually were skincare items I’ve been using for my spring skincare routine. My skin requires less maintenance during spring and summer, so I like to keep my skincare routine really simple and sweet!
SulfaCleanse: Cleansers have a HUGE impact on your skin, believe it or not. Using the right cleanser that’s fit for your face can make ALL the difference. I discovered this cleanser after a recommendation from my aesthetician and it’s been a life saver. I can confidently say I finally found the perfect cleanser for my skin. It’s great for acne-prone or sensitive skin, but it’s also so calm that it’s great for any skin type. I’ve had my entire family try it, and it’s worked great for them as well.
A-Thera Peeling Sticks: I’ve recently discovered these A-Thera Tea Tree Peeling Sticks that I found through Soko Glam. Consider it a giant q-tip with the exfoliating ingredients ready to go. These are also perfect for traveling! Each box comes with 10 sticks and it’s a pretty good value considering you won’t be using it daily. The soaked q-tip goes all over my face about twice a week on a dry face after cleansing. It’s an easy way to gently exfoliate and attack those sebums. Do you ever have those days when a blackhead/whitehead/pimple is 99% ready to come out, but you just can’t quite get them out of that hole? Using these peeling sticks definitely speeds up that process.
Hylauronic Acid Wipes: These wipes serve as my exfoliating toner. It comes in a pot with a generous amount of wipes and all I have to do is take one out to wipe my face. I also love keeping it in the fridge to use it cool. If you’ve read my past posts, you know how important I believe it is to use cool products on my face. Also, remember you can carry these wipes in a carry on as a non-liquid item!
Triple C Lightning Liquid: I’ve used the Philosophy Turbo Booster C Powder to create my own vitamin C serum for years. However, I recently gave this one a try. This serum is lightweight and dries pretty sticky, but I apply a moisturizer over it so it gets better. Vitamin C serums are a necessity for me because it helps with dark spots and acne scars. Living in Texas and with strong sun exposure, I really need something powerful to lighten up my current dark spots and prevent new ones.
Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream: This is the most gentle, hydrating, non-greasy, moisturizer that you can find in local drug stores. I finish my face off with this cream day and night, and it’s been great! This cream is perfectly hypoallergenic, recommended for sensitive skin, fragrance-free and does not contain parabens, lanolin, dyes and formaldehyde. It’s thicker so it takes some rubbing for it to completely soak into the face. If you prefer a lighter moisturizer that has very similar ingredients, CeraVe and Cetaphil are great alternatives!
That wraps up the five products I use for my spring skincare routine day and night. A skincare routine can go on and on but if you think about it, it really depends on the season, body conditions, stress levels, hormones, age, diet, etc. For me and at the moment, these products are what I need and that work very well for me. Plus, keeping my routine simple has saved me lots of time getting ready! Thank you so much for reading and hope everyone has a great weekend 🙂
