Transitioning My Skincare Routine For Fall
New season, new skincare products- because my skin needs some change!
I’ve definitely noticed a change in my skin complexion in the past couple of weeks due to the ups and downs in weather. My skin is extremely confused around this time of the year. Milia over my forehead, cheeks, and chin, are signs that my skin is dehydrated and I need to take better care of it.
Here are some of the things I really consider when transitioning into fall:
- Gel to Cream
Gel-based products during the summer bring down the heat down on my face and reduce any kind of inflammation. However, it’s important that my skin stays hydrated inside and out during fall. For this reason, I find that creams work better on my face.
- Targeting Sun/Dark Spots
Texas heat does damage to my skin, especially during summer time. I try my best to use treatment essences and dark spot gels to get rid of/prevent during the summer, but the effort is honestly pointless. It’s best to wait for fall and winter to getting rid of any unwanted spots/scars- it’s easier and more effective. I use the Blithe Treatment Essence on my face to improve my overall complexion, and PCA Skin’s Pigment Gel to get rid of dark spots.
- Ceramide Moisturizers
The Ceramide ingredient is key for my skin when it comes to fall and winter. It does a good job restoring my skin and locks in the moisture! The Skin and Good Cera Cream from Holika Holika one works great and is one of my favorites, but the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream is very well-known in the market as well!
I think it’s important to switch up the skin products you use depending on the season, climate, and skin condition. I didn’t realize what a difference it made for me until a couple of years age. Now, I always try to be ahead of the game!
Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week 🙂 SO CLOSE TO FRIDAY! *squeal*
