During my recent trip to Vegas and Arizona, I experienced the most dry skin I ever had in a longgggggggg time. It was ridiculously dry and I needed to take care of it as much as I can all weekend!

Included a demo of all the products I used in the video below, but also wanted to share in detail and some other products that I used in addition to the ones mentioned. So let’s get started 🙂

My Skincare Routine in the Desert

Cleanse.

Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm– If you haven’t checked out my detailed review on this product, check it out!

Belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser– Belif’s Aqua Bomb is one of my favorite gel moisturizers, and this cleanser is that converted into a cleanser. Not only is it extremely hydrating, but I love the jelly-to-foam texture that works for all skin types.

Tone.

Pixi Vitamin C Tonic – Part of the new Vitamin C line, I love that this toner does not contain alcohol and it gently exfoliates the skin using willow bark and fruit extracts. It’s also super affordable and easily accessible!

Ole Henriksen Balancing Force Oil Control Toner– This is a toner that targets the pores to clarify and minimize excess oil. My boyfriend personally loved this toner and he has oily, acne-prone skin. It contains salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acids, but is very gentle and helps any skin type to achieve a matte, healthy-looking finish.

Treat.

47 Skin Anti-Blemish & Scar Repair Serum– Watch the video above to see my before & after. I was testing out this serum during my trip and I used it daily for three weeks. I was very satisfied with the end results because my acne scar completely faded!

Goodal Vita C Dark Spot Serum– This serum that claims to “get rid of” dark spots had a huge wave in Korea, so I had to order one myself and give it a try. I can’t honestly say that it got rid of my dark spots (and I don’t expect a single product to magically do that anyways) but it definitely helped with hyper-pigmentation and fresh sun spots that seemed to come up with strong sun exposure.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant– One of my favorite products of 2019. Especially love this for the summer because summer is when anyone deals with excess oil and sebum, which causes blackheads and whiteheads. The BHA exfoliant opens up clogged pores and cleans the deep parts of our pores that need a cleanup!

Naturopathica AHA Refining Night Serum– If I brought a BHA, can’t forget an AHA product. While the BHA helped clean out the inside of pores, AHA helps with the outer layer of the face and helps smoothing out the skin. It’s a very gentle serum to use at night before going to sleep!

Hydrate.

The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Serum– The best on-the-budget product out of this entire list! It helped me tremendously in Vegas and Arizona when it was just SO dry and HOT. Hydration is KEY and I’m so glad I brought my hyaluronic acid serum to keep my skin somewhat hydrated- I literally would’ve ran to the Sephora across my hotel to get one if I didn’t bring one.

Moisturize.

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream – The only moisturizer I had and a lightweight, hydrating one. I didn’t want to bring anything that felt suffocating and heavy, and this one did its job. It’s a gel texture that layers easily across the face but I do want to be careful about products afterwards because I found that with some products, it does pill.

Protect.

Krave Beauty The Beet Shield– The go-to sunscreen that I’m almost done with! I layered up with this sunscreen every couple of hours because the sun was just too strong. I love the lightweight formula and how it doesn’t leave any white cast. It’s also one of my favorite sunscreens that I’ve tried this year, and I can’t stop recommending it! I just wish it was more easily available in the states offline.

Supergoop Perfect Day 2-in-1 Everywear Lotion– A unique one I mention in the video because the cap is a lip balm with SPF and the tube is the lotion with SPF. I’ve also done a Supergoop feature sharing all the products you MUST try if you’re new to Supergoop, so check it out when you get a chance. A lip product with SPF was absolutely necessary and I made sure to apply as a base before using anything afterwards. I almost treated this lotion as a sunscreen so I still get that extra layer of hydration while protecting my skin from the sun.

Supergoop Sun-Defying Sunscreen Oil with Meadowfoam SPF 50– Protecting the face is the most important thing but doing so with my body was just as important, especially in Vegas. For pool parties and just walking around in the scorching heat, this sunscreen oil was super helpful. Super lightweight, fast-absorbing, and just an easy process! I also hate it when I start sweating and the sunscreen starts turning white, but I didn’t have to worry about it with this sunscreen oil.

Boscia Skin Perfecting BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30– The only base makeup I brought with me to the trip. I wanted something lightweight, easy to remove, nothing cakey, and a product that makes it easier to reapply. I used the shade Venice and it blended in really well with my skin tone!

Farmacy Freshen Up 100% Natural Deodorant– All day, everyday. I don’t sweat easily but the heat was too bad (we later found out that there was a national heat advisory, so…). This the only natural deodorant that I have that makes me feel super fresh and actually cooling.
