Coffee is life. It’s true.
Being the huge caffeine junkie I am, one of the things I like to do is to try different coffee spots around Dallas whenever I get a chance. Typically, I drink a regular iced Americano, drip coffee or cold brew. When I try new spots, however, I always want to also try their featured drinks (usually not a boring black coffee) just so I can say I’ve tried what they’re known for 🙂 What are your favorite coffee shops in Dallas? Let’s see if your list matches mine!
#1 – Sip | Stir Cafe
Location: 3800 McKinney Ave #180, Dallas, TX 75204
Coffee: The Crème Brulee Latte (pictured above) and their Lavender Latte is my favorite! Located in uptown near West Village, there are so many dining options nearby so it’s a good spot to have dessert + coffee + chat after your meal.
#2 – Local Press + Brew
Location: 1605 N Beckley Ave, Dallas, TX 75203
Favorite: This nitro cold brew coffee makes one of my favorite cold brews in Texas! The glass and the foam almost makes it look/taste like dark beer, and I love the subtle scent it has. I would literally make the long drive to have another glass 🙂 Oh, it’s super close to the Bishop Arts District and has a cute interior/exterior, so it’s definitely worth checking it out if you happen to be in the area!
#3 – Global Peace Factory
Location: 1377 Legacy Dr, Frisco, TX 75034
Favorite: Their Brown Sugar Latte is probably the best on their menu. It’s a nice, low-key coffee shop (or was) but I’ve noticed that it’s been crowding up lately. Sundays get really packed, so I’ve been avoiding Sundays. I’m not a huge fan of sweet drinks, but I like the amount of sweetness in this latte – not too sweet, with just the perfect amount of caffeine. I tried ice and hot, but I think the brown sugar latte tastes better hot!
#4 – Weekend
Location: 1511 Commerce St, Dallas, TX 75201
Favorite: This is a small, cute, coffee shop inside The Joule Hotel that my mom and I love because of the quiet atmosphere and their minimal menu (easier with decisions, haha). I really enjoy their vanilla lattes and I also love that they do latte art for you. If you prefer strong coffee like myself, you’ll appreciate their lattes, because they’re very strong – which I like!
#5 – Sixty Vines
Location: 3701 Dallas Pkwy, Plano, TX 75093 (Right across Whiskey Cake)
Favorite: I never thought about ordering this until someone placed an order at a friend’s surprise party and it changed my world. It’s super close to my house, so I’m pretty much over there all the time! Everything about this deviled affogato is great and all, but I think the nitro cold brew coffee shot is the ultimate cherry that tops off the flavor!
#6 – Cocohodo
Location: 2625 Old Denton Rd, Carrollton, TX 75007
Coffee: PLEASE challenge me with any other place that has the best sea salt coffee. This is actually a walnut pastry shop but I’m a huge fan of the sea salt coffee here. This drink is not listed on their menu as you can see here, but I know the Carrollton location definitely has this on their menu in-store!
#7 – Flower Child
Location: 5450 W Lovers Ln Suite 133, Dallas, TX 75209
Coffee: Another amazing spot for cold brew. Their food is amazing as well, if you haven’t checked it out yet. But I personally love their cold brew. There’s a Starbucks right across but honestly, I’d rather pay a bit extra and go over to Flower Child for the cold brew. They just opened their new Dallas location, so be sure to check it out. If you’re all into healthy, brunch food, this is the perfect space!
